I was pretty dismayed and disillusioned when I read one of this week's stories in The Chief relating how a visitor from Alberta rescued a stricken man who had stumbled and collapsed on Government Road on Sunday (July 17).

On Monday morning as I breezily walked into the Chief's office for the beginning of the workweek, said a few "good mornings," sat at my desk and began checking my email. The first one I opened was like a slap.

Until recently federal politics have been foreign to me. Reading a headline was like stepping into a movie that has been playing forever.

With a single news release from 麻豆社国产New Directions (SND), we officially entered silly season this week. Ian Sutherland, Dave Fenn, Sonja Lebans, Ray Peters and Jeff Dawson all announced on the same day that they will run in the next election.
