A jury has found a 25-year-old Surrey man guilty of murdering two people and attempting to murder another person.

On Feb. 10, a jury in the Supreme Court of B.C. found Bryce Dallas Campbell guilty of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Sgt. Freda Fong with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said the guilty verdict was the result of collaborative efforts between IHIT, policing partners and the BC Prosecution Service.

“More importantly, it delivers a strong message that the taking of two lives and a disregard for public safety will not be tolerated,” said Fong in a statement.

“This took place at a location where young athletes and their families expected to feel safe."

Shooting in 2022

Back on July 30, 2022, police responded to a shooting at South Surrey Athletic Park in Surrey at 2:45 p.m.

Three people were found suffering gunshot wounds and police believe the shooting was targeted.

Jordan Krishna, Robeen Soreni and Harbir Khosa were identified by police as the people shot.

Both Krishna and Soreni died. Khosa was treated for life-threatening injuries but survived.

IHIT took over the investigation and recovered evidence during search warrants at multiple locations throughout the Lower Mainland.

Campbell was arrested just six days later in connection to the homicides. He was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder on Aug. 22, 2022.

His sentencing hearing will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks.

"Our thoughts continue to be with the families of the victims as the trial concludes,” said Fong.

A conviction of murder carries an automatic life sentence. The period of parole ineligibility is determined by the trial judge.
