Four teens from Manitoba die in crash with semi-trailer truck: RCMP

GILBERT PLAINS, Man. — RCMP say four teens died and another was seriously injured in a crash in western Manitoba. Mounties say the collision between a car and semi-trailer truck happened Wednesday night on a highway near Gilbert Plains, Man.

GILBERT PLAINS, Man. — RCMP say four teens died and another was seriously injured in a crash in western Manitoba.

Mounties say the collision between a car and semi-trailer truck happened Wednesday night on a highway near Gilbert Plains, Man., about 355 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

They say a car with five occupants ran a stop sign and then hit the truck.

RCMP say two 17-year-old boys were declared dead at the scene.

They say the male driver, who was 18 years old, also died at the scene.

Mounties say an 18-year-old female passenger was sent to hospital, where she later died.

A 15-year-old female passenger was also transported to hospital where she remains with serious injuries.

RCMP say a 30-year-old male driver of the truck, who is from Saskatoon, was not physically injured.
