麻豆社国产United played the Surrey Strikers. This was an evenly matched game. Both teams played well. Surrey scored the first two goals. 麻豆社国产responded with a cross from Sarah to Marlee who scored. The next goal came to Surrey with an unfortunate kick across our goal and it went off one of our players into our net. Bad luck. 麻豆社国产did not give up and worked hard with Sarah getting the next goal back for Squamish. Surrey ended the scoring with a fourth goal for a score of 4-2. 麻豆社国产definitely had its chances in this game. The girls played hard throughout the game with no substitutes.

U13 Girls

This weekend's Cup Game was a rematch between the Storm and the North Vancouver Revolution. It was a great game, which saw the Storm dominate the bulk of the play despite having lost three of their four subs to injury or illness in the first half. The Storm's start was a bit shaky with the Revolution scoring early but the 麻豆社国产girls shook it off and took control of the game keeping the ball in their opponents end. The passing was solid, the shots were taken but the Revolution defense was able to shut out the Storm's offence. This week the player of the game was Sammy Butts, who played an excellent first half in goal and her quick movement of the ball through to the forward line was key in maintaining the pressure on the Revolution defense in the second half.

U15 Girls Gold

The U15 Scorpion Girls Gold were eliminated by the North Shore Force in the semi-final round of the North Shore District B Cup, losing 2-0 in a cold and wet match. The North Shore team is currently in second place in the tougher Gold 1 league. After being stung early in the first half by an own goal off a corner, the Scorpions fought hard but were unable to penetrate the Force defense. Keeper Jenelle Higham was the player of the game, and kept us in it making many great saves. Finally the Force capitalized on another corner midway through the second.

With four games left in the season, the Scorpions enjoy a healthy six-point lead in their league (Gold 2) with a 7-1-3 record.

U-15 Boys 麻豆社国产deserved this victory, with several excellent individual performances and a great overall team effort. Their first goal came from a beautiful corner kick taken by Sam Mallet, which was met by 麻豆社国产Captain Jordan Platz at the back post. Platz and Daniel Berhner played great defensive roles, which kept the Dunbar attack quiet for most of the game.

In the second half Peter Cooper came close for 麻豆社国产with two long shots from midfield before Sam Mallett scored his sixth goal of the season to give 麻豆社国产a two-goal lead. Dunbar did not give up, however and attacked well towards the end of the game. They deserved their goal, which came from a corner in the last 5 minutes. Well-done Squamish!

U16 Gold Boys

麻豆社国产United played at Brennan Park on Saturday against Killarney. In a first half that saw both teams cancel each other out and with very few shots on goal both teams started the second half knowing that one goal would probably win the game. With both teams pushing for that elusive goal it was Killarney who managed to break the deadlock with a well-taken strike. 麻豆社国产piled on the pressure in the last ten minutes but were unable to make it count and were unfortunate to come away with a 1-0 loss.
