麻豆社国产representatives in BC Winter Games

Keep your eyes peeled for these athletes in the BC Winter Games in Vernon

Several athletes from 麻豆社国产will participate in the upcoming BC Winter Games.

After being delayed from last year, the BC Winter Games are set to return in Vernon from March 23 to 26. There are nine athletes from 麻豆社国产who will soon gear up to compete.

Here they are with their respective sport:

  • Brian McDonald – Archery
  • Cash Cooper – Snowboarding
  • Elijah Krumme – Freestyle Skiing
  • Jonas Gaces – Snowboarding
  • Julie Schaber – Archery
  • Ryan Gates – Snowboarding
  • Sasha Cromwell – Alpine Skiing
  • Ty Reichert – Freestyle Skiing
  • Zoe Henderson – Freestyle Skiing

Additionally, two assistant coaches in freestyle skiing also hail from Squamish, Danika Mazur and Cayley Wilcox. One official for ringette, Evan Sharp, also is from Squamish.

According to a news release from the games, there are about 900 athletes, 300 coaches and 140 officials from 122 communities in B.C. There are 15 separate sports to be represented.

While these games were supposed to happen last February, several factors postponed the event until 2023, which included the COVID-19 pandemic as well as flooding and wildfires in the province. 

As such, the official name of the event remains the Great Vernon 2022 BC Winter Games much like the postponed Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. This will be the fourth time Vernon has hosted the games and first since 2012.

The competition starts on Friday, March 24 and goes until noon on Sunday, March 26. Please on to see when different competitions are set to occur.
