On Nov. 19, the x史m蓹θk史蓹y虛蓹m (Musqueam) Nation’s Little House played host to none other than Prince Harry.

Greeting the Duke of Sussex were members of the 2025 Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler's four Host First Nations, including chiefs Wayne Sparrow (Musqueam), Sxwíxwtn Wilson Williams (S岣祑x瘫wú7mesh/Squamish), Skalulmecw Dean Nelson (Lil虛wat7úl/Líl虛wat) and Jen Thomas (s蓹lilw蓹ta涩/Tsleil-Waututh).

The Little House is owned by the Grant Family, including Howard E. Grant, Howard J. Grant and Alfreda Grant. According to Howard E., there is a nail outside where everyone is asked to leave negative thoughts behind and only speak of the positive.

Youth in attendance were gifted with tickets to the Games' Opening Ceremony by Prince Harry as each Nation shared its culture, values and vision for the future.

A press release explains: "The power of these personal connections in the pursuit of understanding and healing provided a meaningful context for the Duke to further engage in dialogue with these communities.

"He remains dedicated to learning more about the cultural and historical significance of the Four Host First Nations. He is committed to ensuring that the legacy of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 is a lasting and positive impact for Indigenous communities, grounded in respect, understanding and collaboration."
