麻豆社国产snowboarder Justin Lamoureux finished fourth in World Cup half pipe competition at Stoneham, Que. on Friday (Jan. 22).

The 33-year-old, who had already qualified for the Winter Games but was officially named to the Olympic Team on Monday (Jan. 25), took fourth place after receiving 39 points from the panel of judges in his second run. Fellow Canadian Jeff Batchelor earned the silver medal.

"It's been pretty nerve wrecking the last couple of weeks, just trying to keep my results up, and watching my friends do their runs," said Lamoureux in a release.

"I am happy it's over. I just want to snowboard and have some fun. I told [head coach Tom Hutchinson] during practice that I was going to wing it and that's what I did all night."

Lamoureux already has experience at the five ring show, placing 21st at the 2006 Olympics. He will take that experience to Cypress Mountain when the men's halfpipe runs Feb. 17.

"My tricks are coming the way I want them to come, we land run and have fun, and that's what we want."
