The last Hell of a Series race, Just Another Bike Race (JABR), starts and finishes at Quest University in 麻豆社国产on Saturday (Aug. 21).
The JABR course is shorter than the 67-kilometre Test of Metal route and a bit more difficult than the GearJammer, ensuring something for everyone.
"I envision this race as one between the Test and Gearjammer in difficulty and be about 40 kilometres in length. It will have a bit of something for every racer," ?said Dwayne Kress, racedirector.
Thecourse covers a variety of trails including the new Half Nelson, Word of Mouth, Roller Coaster, andCredit Line with lots of relief riding along connecting logging roads.
Spectators are invited to watch the action from the vantage of the Quest patio, which provides opportunity to watch riders as they finish their first loop and as they cross the finish line.
"So spectators can enjoy a cold beer as they watch people ride their bikes by," said Kress.
Riders can still register on Friday (Aug. 20) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Nesters Market in the Station Square Mall or on race day at the starting area behind Quest University's gym from 8 to 10 a.m.
Riders must start the JABR to qualify for points in the Hell of a Series standings.
Kress said JABR is currently looking for volunteers and sponsors.
"Course marshals are what we're looking for right now," he said. "And it would be phenomenal if we could get people with First Aid and knowledge of the trails."
