held a big weekend of racing on its newly refurbished track, including Gold Cup racing, over the July 12 to 14th weekend.
"The weekend was lots of fun," said the club's president, Vairdy Frail.
She said riders took part from all over the province, plus some from Washington State.
"It was an exciting weekend of racing with the Zero to Hero program bringing out expert riders to compete for a cash purse," she said.
"We had an amazing crew of volunteers who worked hard leading up to and doing the event to make sure everyone was fed and that the races ran smoothly."
She said they also took time on the weekend to acknowledge the hard work that went into resurfacing the track, giving thanks to Paul Sherman and Scott Murray for their efforts, as well as the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, Alpine Paving, Coast Valley Contracting, and other sponsors.
"It was fun for the whole family, with the riders of all ages competing."
