The 2024 Whistler Half-Mararthon is in the books and several locals distinguished themselves once again.

Jack McArthur was the only Sea to Sky athlete to win a race, which for him was the five-kilometre event in 18 minutes and 45 seconds. Dominik Gray finished second (21:10) and third went to Jonah Markson (21:22). Maelle Hetherington's blistering effort (22:16) netted her fourth, and top spot for women.

Squamolian Scott Magure earned runner-up position in the 10-kilometre (36:48) behind victorious Caleb Graham (36:29) and in front of third-place David Jackson (39:01). Carley Gering wound up sixth overall, but first among female constestants (40:56).

In the traditional half-marathon distance, Michael Murdoch had enough speed for bronze (1:25:12). Jim Finlayson struck gold (1:21:33) and Michael Nangle grabbed silver (1:22:17). Care Nelson ran to fifth as fastest woman (1:26:38).

Lastly, the 30-kilometre race saw two 麻豆社国产natives break through. Mark O'Connor (2:16:26) and Riley Johnston (2:20:37) placed second and third respectively, though neither were able to catch Uli Steidl for the win (2:09:45). Among ladies, Catrin Jones nipped at Johnston's heels to ultimately end in fourth (2:21:05)
