Squamish's growing legion of biathletes earned a total of 10 medals at the Canadian National Biathlon Championships in Canmore, Alta., which ran Wednesday to Sunday (Mar. 4 to 7).

Youth Women category biathlete Emma Lunder led the way with two gold medals in the pursuit and relay and two silver medals in the 6-km sprint and the 10-km individual.

Junior Men biathlete Matt Neumann won a pair of gold medals in the 12.5-km pursuit and relay, and earned a silver medal in the 10-km sprint. He won relay gold with Lunder and his brother, Aaron Neumann, who also won bronze in the Youth Men 12.5-km individual.

Olympian Megan Tandy won gold in the women's 7.5-km sprint and 10-km pursuit events.

All four biathletes live in 麻豆社国产as members of the Biathlon BC High Performance Team training at the Callaghan Valley's Whistler Olympic Park.

Lunder, 18, moved from Vernon this summer after graduating high school. The nationals were a perfect ending to a solid season as she prepares to transition to the Junior level next year.

"To finish my season like that, I was so happy," said Lunder, adding that 麻豆社国产provides ideal play and training grounds for biathletes.

"It's a super good atmosphere for any athlete, I think I don't think you could ever get tired of anything in Squamish."
