The 麻豆社国产Atom House minor hockey team is on a winning streak that could take them right to the top.
The nine- and 10-year-old players are on their way to the division championships Saturday (March 4) thanks to a playoff hat trick of three wins in a row.
"Our kids are pumped and ready to go," said team manager Tom Sloan.
On Feb. 11, 麻豆社国产beat North Vancouver with a decisive 7 to 5 final score. Two days later, 麻豆社国产triumphed again, this time over West Vancouver with an even wider gap of 9 to 5. The regular season's final game resulted in the highest scoring yet for 麻豆社国产with a 10 to 6 victory over the North Shore Winter Club.
The team doesn't yet know who they'll face during the championship to be held at the Hollyburn Club in West Vancouver."It all depends on where the other teams end up in the playoff hunt," said Sloan.
But no matter who they face or how the championships go, the kids will have a lot of fun and a lot of support, said Sloan."The coaches and manager would like to acknowledge the parents who volunteer their time, whether it's selling 50-50 tickets, scoreboard, or just simply tying skates," he said. "The kids have had great fun this year and have formed new friendships and isn't that what this is all about?"
