Geordie Raymond Lansdell Puttonen

Jan. 3, 1984鈥擭ov. 17, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden and tragic death of Geordie鈥攕on to Jane (Glenn), grandson to Pat, brother to Deanna (Johan), nephew to Cathy (Don) and Claire (Tony), close cousin to Kippy (Scott) and Serafina (Jeff), cousin to Kelly (Rachel), uncle to Luca, and father to Ally and Riley, the loves of his life.  Also left behind to mourn him are numerous family members of his late father Ray.

Now somewhere else, we like to imagine Geord is reunited with loved ones lost鈥攈ugging his other mum Barbara, his grandpa John, and his dad Trapper Ray, and joking around with his beloved buddies Haywood and Junger.

Geordie was a kind-hearted, unique individual, relentlessly pursuing adventure and thrills inspired by the mountains and the natural world. His many passions included skiing, fishing, mountain biking, and, above all, being a father to his two daughters.

He died in the outdoors doing what he loved with a buddy: some crazy-ass activity with no thought to his safety.  His nine lives sadly ran out when nature claimed him in the end. Born the Fort Nelson New Year鈥檚 Baby of 1984, he acquired his love of adventure and the bush with his Dad around the Liard River Valley in Northern B.C. He spent most of his adult years in Squamish.

Geordie was an avid Canucks fan and hockey aficionado.  He learned to play on homemade ice and perfected his skills by watching VHS tapes of Canucks鈥 games over and over again. He and Glenn, a devoted Hawks fan, developed a friendly rivalry over the years and shared a passion for hockey cards.

Geord was proud to serve as a paramedic for most of his working life. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family.

RIP G, love you always.
