It was a dramatic scene to see a bus with flames shooting out of its front end, but, thankfully, no one was injured.
麻豆社国产Fire Rescue was called out to a vehicle fire at 1:36 p.m. on March 26 involving a bus at the Industrial Way and Progress Way intersection.
According to deputy fire chief Aaron Foote, 麻豆社国产Fire Rescue attended the incident with two fire trucks, one command truck and nine firefighters.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire.
Foote said that the District of 麻豆社国产Public Works department was also called in to assist with the water runoff that resulted from extinguishing the fire.
BC Ambulance was not required for this incident as no occupants other than the driver who called in the vehicle fire were in the vehicle.
麻豆社国产Fire Rescue attends approximately six vehicle fires annually, Foote said.
"[Crews] take full precautions with personal protective clothing, self-contained breathing apparatus, and decontamination procedures, as well as protecting the environment from hazardous run-off from extinguishing efforts."
