About the hosts
The Howe Sound Performing Arts Association (HSPAA), which is organizing the concert, was founded in 1993 by a group of local piano teachers. The original goal of the nonprofit was to raise funds to purchase a grand piano for the community.
Over the years, the HSPAA has brought in renowned artists like Janina Fialkowska, Jon Kimura Parker, and Angela Cheng, as well as presenting concerts for local musicians and young performers.
The association also offers an annual scholarship to a grade 12 student from Howe Sound Secondary who plans to pursue a career in the arts.
