The 麻豆社国产Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards anointed new award winners in a variety of categories.
The 2023 event took place at the CN Roundhouse and Conference Centre on Friday, Nov. 3, gathering a crowd of well over 100 attendees. This year’s event introduced some new categories such as the Indigenous Business Award along with other stalwarts such as the Bill Manson Citizen Award.
With the Sea to Sky Gondola’s Kirby Brown playing host for the event, the evening recognized a number of businesses in Squamish.
“Every year the 麻豆社国产Chamber takes the opportunity to show our appreciation and showcase our incredibly versatile business community in the Sea to Sky region,” reads the website for the event.
This year’s award winners and categories are listed below:
- Bill Manson Citizen Award: Jose Oreamuno
- Young Entrepreneur Award: Rebecca Bolkowy, Local Roots Farm
- Indigenous Business Award: Sk瘫wa虂lwen Botanicals
- Small Business Award: The Little Bookshop
- Medium/Large Business Award: 麻豆社国产Valley Golf Club
- New Business Award: Outbound Station
- Environmental Impact Award: Blue Water Concepts
- Arts and Entertainment Award: Act Alive Academy
- Business Innovation Award: Bueno Custom Furniture
- Community Builder Award (For-profit): Groms Physio & Co.
- Community Builder Award (Non-profit): PearlSpace
Winner of the Bill Manson Citizen Award, Oreamuno, briefly addressed and thanked the crowd for his award. Brown also recognized the two other nominees, Amy Reid and Marisa Navaro Ros, for their additions and service to the 麻豆社国产community.
The 麻豆社国产Chamber took to social media shortly after the event and gave a hearty congratulations to the winners.
