North Shore Celtic Ensemble brings heat to Squamish

With a new concert series, Playing with Fire, the Ensemble graces the Eagle Eye Theatre stage on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The North Shore Celtic Ensemble is bringing the heat to 麻豆社国产with a new concert series called Playing with Fire.

On Sunday, Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m., the group will perform at the Eagle Eye Theatre with 鈥渇iery tunes and blazing fiddles,鈥 according to a news release. The Ensemble is a collection of young musicians from Vancouver.

鈥淲hat started as Celtic is now a spirited no-boundaries exploration of music that inspires us. The result is a full-spectrum music experience that defies labels and spans conventional genres,鈥 reads the release. 

鈥淭heir own original compositions draw on Celtic, classical, jazz and folk influences and are blended with creative arrangements of more traditional Celtic tunes.鈥

Under the direction of Gabriel Dubreuil, Serena Eades and Danielle Leonard, the group is described as 鈥渕ore than just a performing group.鈥 

鈥淭he North Shore Celtic Ensemble is a meeting place for youth to explore and share music. Music is about connecting with people of all ages and cultures, and the Ensemble is committed to helping to build connections through exceptional community performances and creative collaborations with other artists and arts organizations.鈥

The Ensemble will also be bringing the same performance to North Vancouver at the Centennial Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for that show are $35 for adults and $25 for students and seniors.
