The lifestyles of the rich and the famous will be on show at VanDusen Botanical Garden this weekend. Well, their cars will be.
Some of the world鈥檚 most expensive cars 鈥 that most Canadians have never laid eyes on in real life 鈥 will roll into Vancouver for the annual Luxury and Supercar show.
It's labelled Canada's premier luxury lifestyle and automotive event and it boasts a display of a 187 jaw-dropping supercars.
Worth a combined $250 million, some cars look more like they belong in a Batman movie than in a garage.
It鈥檚 a carefully curated selection of the world鈥檚 most luxurious and collectible automobiles 鈥 from Europe, the US and Canada 鈥 including Pagani, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bugatti, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche and many, many more.
Now it its ninth year, the L&SW has expanded to cover 17-acres of the garden, with pop-up bars and food stations throughout.
If you鈥檙e a car enthusiast, it鈥檚 probably an event you don鈥檛 want to miss.
We had a chat with event president Craig Stowe and vice-president Nadia Iadisernia to find out a little more about the cars and entertainment at this year鈥檚 show.
What is the most expensive car?听
Introducing鈥 the Pagani Huayra BC. It鈥檚 worth $4.5 million. It's very exclusive 鈥 only 20 exist.
AutoCar reported the Italian super car's , a property magnate who was the first customer to buy a Pagani car. The limited run of Huayra models was dedicated to him.
For those who speak cars: It has a Mercedes-Benz's AMG division hand-built 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 750 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque.
It's been built extremely light at 1,200kg and weighs less than a Mini Cooper. It goes pretty fast too. It's top speed is about 383听km/h.
What are the most interesting cars?听
The presidents highlighted the Pagani Huayra BC ($4.5 million), the Bugatti ($4 million), the McLaren 600 LT ($310,000), the Singer Porsche Williams DLS ($2.2 million) and the Rolls Royce Cullinan ($525,000).
鈥淎ll of these vehicles listed are new hypercars; rare, spectacular and expensive,鈥 the presidents said.听
鈥淭hey鈥檝e also never been seen by the public in Canada before.鈥
What is the oldest car at the show?
It鈥檚 the Porsche.
鈥淭his year, we鈥檙e celebrating the 70th anniversary of Porsche with a display of the听 coming from Germany,鈥 the presidents said.

What are the must-see highlights?
1.听听听听 The great luxury and supercar live auction hosted by ADESA on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
2.听听听听 The 70th anniversary Porsche tribute. It will have a display of the first Porsche ever made and the finest selection of Porsche sport cars.
3.听听听听 The 70th anniversary of Land Rover with a display of Land Rovers and Defenders.

What else is at the show, aside from cars?
鈥淕uests to this year鈥檚 event will also have full access to the daily Oakridge Centre fashion shows, a variety of pop-up bars and food stations, as well as purveyors of 铿乶e watches, luxury pianos, boats and more,鈥 the presidents said.
鈥淥ver the past nine years, we鈥檝e become a signature destination event that attracts those that share a passion for luxury goods and supercars.鈥
What food and drinks can we look forward to?听
There will be 20 onsite food and beverage pop-ups. There鈥檚 plenty of options from a Veuve Clicquot Champagne Garden, a Peninsula seafood restaurant to Hawksworth Restaurant and Fatburger.
