Got your recreational fishing licence? 

Licences for the Pacific Region's fishing season are now available.

The new fishing season started April 1. Licences are good until March 31, 2022.

Anglers can get their licence and record their catch online with the.

This system enables anglers to get a B.C. Tidal Waters Sport Fishing licence, Salmon Conservation Stamp and/or Yukon Salmon Conservation Catch Card from any location with an internet connection and printer.

Under regulations in the , fishers are required by law to immediately record their catch — of all retained chinook and halibut caught in any Management Area, and lingcod caught in specific areas — on their licence or through a DFO catch database, according to a DFO news release.  

Fishers can record their catch on their NRLS account.

If out of cell range, fishers must still manually record their catch on the printed paper copy of their licence.
