Born March 27, 1928, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Passed away Nov. 19, 2024, after a well-lived life of 96 years.
Dave, with his parents and four brothers in 1929, moved to Chilliwack B.C., to start their own farm.
At 11 yrs old, Dave started horse ploughing, and thus began a lifelong passion. Dave worked as a heavy-duty mechanic which took him, his wife Olga and their blended family of Karen, Lynn, Jack, and Bev to Squamish.
While in Squamish, Dave and Olga welcomed their son Jim to their family.
Dave continued working as a heavy-duty mechanic co-owning and operating a logging truck company.
Upon retirement, he and Olga returned to Chilliwack and spent their later years tending to their small hobby farm and actively involved in the Chilliwack Ploughing Society.
Dave was not only involved in the organization of the society, but he was a competitor with his team of beloved horses Queen and Mindy.
Once he had hung up the horse harnesses for the final time, he then became a judge and somewhat of a historian for the society.
Predeceased by his wife Olga, son Jack and stepdaughter Lynn.
Dave leaves behind his daughter Bev (Lyle), son Jim, stepdaughter Karen and son-in -aw Tony (Lynn). Grandchildren Doug, Tiffany and Amy, Dave and Jack and Norman. Als,o 13 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2025 to coincide with the Chilliwack Ploughing Match.
