Photos: Quest University's spring 2022 graduation ceremony is one for the history books

Graduating students from 2022, 2021, 2020 celebrated at the first in-person grad ceremony in years.

There will probably never be another graduation ceremony like this one. 

On Saturday (April 30), families, dignitaries, faculty, staff and approximately 120 graduates from the classes of 2022, 2021 and 2020 gathered to celebrate their achievements. 

The graduates of 2021 and 2020 did not have an in-person ceremony at the end of their final years due to pandemic restrictions, so this was a long-awaited closure of sorts for those students. 

It was also a chance to recognize academic and local leaders. 

During the proceedings, was honoured for his time at the university, as this is his last semester at the helm. He is retiring in a few months. 

Iwama started at Quest in 2017, first as Chancellor. He later became president and vice-chancellor.

At the ceremony, ) hereditary ) was announced as the new chancellor of the University. 

His mother, Nation Elder Chésha7 (Gwen Mildred Harry), who is 91, was also announced as the first in Quest's history to receive an honorary doctorate degree for her dedication to education. 

Her daughter ) opened the ceremony with a S岣祑x瘫wú7mesh welcome.
