A co-owner of a popular Britannia Beach cafe says they鈥檙e looking to move their storefront to Squamish.
The development arrives months after Galileo Coffee Company had to shut down due to a septic failure. The company has since been selling its product through other retailers.
鈥淲e鈥檝e decided to pivot and invest in a 麻豆社国产location and keep the Britannia location as our roastery headquarters,鈥 wrote Cara Barth, in a message to The Chief.
鈥淭he bureaucracy and cost of a utility on a building/land we don鈥檛 own didn鈥檛 seem like good business sense. We reworked and re-permitted the septic to fit our roastery needs but a complete system replacement is necessary to reopen and meet the needs of the cafe.鈥
Barth says they hope to open up the 麻豆社国产location either in the fall or winter, but no date has been set in stone.
