A Vancouver traveller shared a video of a mouse running around YVR airport.

A pint-sized Vancouverite was searching for an easy meal at a cafe at the airport over the long weekend.

A traveller recorded a video of a tiny mouse scurrying around a Starbucks in Vancouver International Airport (YVR) on Saturday, May 20.

The footage shows the rodent frantically running across the floor and carpet as passersby stop to observe it.

The YVR Airport Authority told V.I.A. that the airport is B.C.'s largest building and there are "hundreds of doors and windows," which makes it possible for wildlife to occasionally enter the terminal.

"We continually work with our partners, including our food and beverage operators and pest control, to regularly monitor and address this aspect of our operation," the airport said in a statement.

"If any passengers or employees see wildlife in the terminal, we ask they notify our Operations Centre so we can investigate.”
