A man who allegedly stole a taxi cab and damaged the vehicle has been charged.
Police officers responded to a report of a man allegedly robbing a taxi driver and damaging the vehicle on June 22.
He fled the scene, but police were able to locate him.
The suspect was released pending further investigation and on Sept. 10 charges were approved against the man and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Richard Nelson, 31, has been charged with assault with a weapon and mischief to property. He was arrested on Sept. 26.
Nelson has been released and has a condition to have no contact with the victim or be in possession of weapons.
The driver did not sustain any physical injuries during the incident.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
