Squamish’s ‘NASA’ Jim Meyer was back in his element on Sunday while witnessing the SpaceX in Cape Canaveral on Sunday.
“What an amazing day,” wrote Meyer to The Â鶹Éç¹ú²ú.
Meyer was an engineer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for almost four decades before retiring.
While he was down south during the SpaceX rocket launch, he’s been living part-time in Â鶹Éç¹ú²úfor over 20 years.
The goal of the Crew-8 mission is to deliver three U.S. astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut to the International Space Station.
Once there, they’ll begin a six-month research endeavour while spiralling above Earth.
