Get out on 麻豆社国产trails for International Trails Day

Saturday, June 4, is a day to celebrate our local trail network, says 麻豆社国产Trail Society.

If the pandemic and its accompanying restrictions taught us anything, it is that a walk in the woods is even better for us than we thought.

June 4 is, an annual celebration of trails, trail development and the physical and mental health they encourage.

Started by the American Hiking Society in 1992, the day is celebrated each year on the first Saturday in June.

"Residents of 麻豆社国产do not need much prompting to use our vast network of trails," said Jim Gracie of the .

"The past two years of the pandemic have seen a large increase in the number of people on your trails. The 麻豆社国产Trails Society is committed to maintaining your recreational trails and undertakes an annual program to keep the trails safe for all to use."

The society urges locals to get out on this special day. "Do enjoy your favourite hike or try some new location, like the improved Amblepath, Swan, Wonderland or Dipper trails. People using mobility-assisted devices, in particular, mothers with baby strollers, will find the new ramp down from the dike to the Mashiter Spawning Channel trails a smooth improvement," Gracie added.
