It appears tapping the apps have paid off — financially speaking — for a pair of B.C. lottery players.
Somewhere in the province, and on the same day, two residents each earned five-figure paydays from separate lotto games last Saturday, Jan. 18.
This includes an exact total of $84,691.40 from the , as well as $75,000 (see images below).
BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) lists the winners as "PlayNow.com," meaning they purchased the tickets online.
It's not known, as of this publication, Jan. 23, if either have come forward to claim the prizes. The names and communities of residency may be released at a later date.
"All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize," BCLC has previously stated.
"The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners' name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize."
The Lotto 6/49 ticket matched five of the six drawn numbers:
- 08, 13, 16, 18, 31, 43 and 01 (bonus)
The lucky winner's total is also half of a bigger loot as someone in Québec also correctly picked at least five numbers.
The BC/49 ticket also matched five of its six numbers and is keeping the $75,000 to themselves:
- 01, 14, 36, 40, 41, 47 and 26 (bonus)
